The laser profile detection system is a system designed to check the state of wear of the cast iron or steel grinding rolls, with the aim of allowing preventive maintenance of the plant, avoiding drops in yield.

Description

The instrument, kept in a special case, consists of a laser probe that must be placed on the roll to detect its profile.

The probe is connected to a tablet on which the software for data processing and storage is loaded.

The measurement of the tooth profile will make it possible to understand if the roll is still in conditions of being able to work without losing efficiency, if its replacement is needed or it will indicate how to plan the relative maintenance interventions in advance.

The instrument uses a sensor that measures the surface profile precisely through a laser beam.
